"My husband and I had absolutely no clue what we were doing when we brought our preemie daughter home from the hospital. I always second guess myself, so I just “winged” this mom thing and called the pediatrician often to pepper him with questions along the way. Somehow, my clueless husband and I managed to raise a baby--it really does “take a village”--with gentle guidance from family, friends, and doctors. Today, my daughter is a thriving toddler and on my third Mother’s Day I’m proud of myself for achieving something I never thought was possible due to my lack of confidence: I brought a child into this world.
